Costo Rica International DocuFest

After much appreciation received by the documentaries in Costo Rica International Film Festival, the makers were stimulated to put forth a festival for the documentary films alone. This major event now known to be the Costa Rica International Documentary Film Festival revels the art of documentary and delivers all the film makers and audience one of a kind experience of short films. It inspires  film makers from all over the world to come together, discuss, experience, and celebrate films in one of the most exotic and beautiful location of the world, Montezuma, Costa Rica.

The event is to be hosted in the most favorite and deluxe hotel around town, El Sano Banano Village Hotel from MAY 22 – 26, 2013. The best part about the festival is that anyone across the world can submit their film to be screened at the festival. The films could be short films or features and they are to be submitted before the deadline March 30^th, 2013 at very reasonable fee. The selection committee will notify and confirm screening of their films once selected to the makers.

 Film making is a highly individualized passion of the creators and is not a competition, even then the festival encourages the talent by awarding the film makers in categories such as Best Documentary Feature, Best Documentary Short, Best Director, Best Foreign Documentary, etc. so the participants are compelled to put their best work forward and let the world enjoy the best of the best films of the world.

Apart from the celebration of film making, the Costo Rica DocuFest promotes the sense of teamwork, communication and partnership among the film makers by providing the participants to make their stay worth a while with brilliant group events like screenings, conferences, music concerts, beach, street and late night parties around the clock. It takes the explorers on excursions of Costo Rican islands, waterfalls, and wildlife, the quest loving film makers to allocate their time in surfing, scuba diving, snorkeling, canopy tours and ATV rides, while the relaxing minds to enjoy dinner parties or just get lovely tans on the beach.

The participants can accommodate themselves at the hotel hosting the event the El Sano Banano Village Hotel or the equally beautiful Ylang Ylang Beach Resort.

The Banano Village Hotel is the place to be while at the festival. It has economical rates to offer for its twelve different kinds of rooms that are nearest to breath taking views of the beach.
