Amir Art Gallery

There may be hundreds of art galleries in every second state of the world. But the art gallery that truly combines some of the best contemporary artists from different areas is the Amir Art gallery. This gallery is located in San Dose, situated in Costa Rica and was inaugurated in the year 1987. To give that look and feel of uniqueness to the gallery, it was made inside an old building. Artists from and from around the city are gathered under this one banner, showcasing their artwork. The national artists of San Dose have an emotional attachment with this gallery as it gives them a domestic aura.

The old building where the gallery was first located was a unique place but the gallery needed to penetrate the competitive market in order to earn what the masterpieces of its artists truly deserved. Not long after the gallery’s inauguration, the artists started buying each other’s art works in order to provide the funding needed by the gallery. Now the gallery had enough funding to change its location and so it shifted to a place located right in front of the old Morazán Park. This location was changed in 1990. This shift proved to be a great success for the artists as the location was suitable to penetrate the competitive market. The artwork now started getting recognized at both national and international level. Further, this gallery is not only a platform for artists to showcase their paintings, it is also a place where art pieces are preserved and kept with care. Since then, the gallery has been participating in international and national art exhibitions.

There are many artists whose works are showcased in the gallery. These artists include some of the greatest minds in San Dose like Fabio Rojas, Francisca Guevara, Jorge Gallardo, Gilberto Aquino, Alberto Guayazamin, Hernán Arévalo, Jorge Araya, Juan Carlos Camacho, Marvin Chinchilla, Nayra Araya, Roy Quirós, Salvador Avalos and Santana. Accompanying masterpieces of these brilliant artists, Amir Art gallery also provides the perfect frames for all kinds of paintings. There is a variety of frames to choose from. These frames have been made with the best wood and finished with perfection. There is a huge variety of styles and colors to match up with the paintings.
