Galleria Valanti Anna, March 6, 2013 Valanti gallery came into existence in 1974. It was inaugurated with an exhibition of the renowned Costa Rican artist Rafael Fernandez. For a span of 10 years the gallery promoted only Costa Rican Art, and then in 1984 Latin American artists were also invited to showcase their artwork in the gallery. Not only that, Valanti Gallery also started giving art classes for art history, painting, drawing, fabrics design, ceramics painting and stained-glass window painting, to people who were interested in learning the art of painting and other forms of art. Along with that proper counseling of artwork shopping, restoration, rent, and artwork frames is also offered to companies and individuals. This initiated in 1980 and at that time the teachers were famous artists like Francisco Amighetti, Rafael Fernandez, and others. Gradually with time Valanti Gallery started presenting its Costa Rican artists at an international level, participating in art shows conducted in Miami, Venezuela, Colombia and others. In 1995 a seminar was organized of Latin American Art with Dr. Belgica Rodriguez as chief guest, who is an art critic and a famous writer. Valanti gallery showcases paintings and sculptures of more than a 100 artists.
