Pirate Cove Hotel

Accommodation:

In Pirate Cove Hotel you will find three types of accommodations in the form of bungalows, cabins, air conditioned rooms. All of the accommodations are available at the same rate but feature different style and facilities.

Bungalows:

Constructed with polished wooden floors, sturdy fabric walls but instead of tent flaps, these bungalows are the most popular housing option in the Pirate Cove Hotel. In each of the cabin you will find a door and screened windows. All the bungalows also feature private bathrooms with hot showers, one double bed or two single beds with orthopedic mattresses, and ceiling fans. There is a small terrace outside of the room and that terrace is furnished with hammock and chairs where you can enjoy some tranquil time as well as watch an amazing view of the surrounding area.

Cabins:

If you want to stay at this hotel with your family or partner and want to enjoy more privacy, you can choose the cabins. These cabins are featured with one double and three single beds, ceiling fans, lots of storage space. These cabins also include private bathrooms with hot shower. There is private terrace outside of the cabins and that is furnished with hammocks and deck chair. This terrace is ideal for spending some tranquil time with your favorite book as well as watching the amazing Pacific Ocean and Drake River view.

Air Conditioned Rooms:

On the second floor of the main building you will find the air conditioned rooms. Walls and floors of the rooms are pine clad and have windows through which the guests can enjoy watching the amazing views of the garden. These rooms don’t have balcony and featured with private bathrooms and the showers are quite unusual. These rooms don’t offers ocean view.

Meals:

The dining area of the hotel is featured with five long tables. There you will not get the gourmet food but some delicious dishes that are prepared with fresh ingredients. If anyone has any type of food allergies there are any vegetarian or vegan, it is recommended to inform in advance so that they can get their desirable food menus. There you will enjoy buffet breakfast including fresh fruits, fresh juices, home made bread, good Costa Rican coffee, gallo pinto (rice and beans), milk, cereal, cheese and eggs.

Activities:

Drake Bay is just like a heaven for the bird watchers as it is home to about 450 species of birds. People who want to enjoy scuba diving, they can join PADI (PADI International Resort Association) scuba diving courses. You can also go for enjoying whale and dolphin watching tours, sea kayaking tour or sport fishing trips. The hotel looks down upon a 2-kilometer deserted beach that is perfect for enjoying beach combing. There is also an adjacent ocean where you can enjoy swimming.
