Carlos Poveda Anna, March 4, 2013 Another great artist born in San Dose, Costa Rica is Carlos Poveda. He was born in the year 1940 in this beautiful state. He was only in his sixties when he started gaining the fame other artists gain much later in life. He did one man shows all over the state through which he earned himself much deserved attention, fame and money. These shows were not just confined to San Dose; he displayed his artwork all over the American continent. He has also obtained a Nobel Prize for his miraculous paintings. Painting isn’t the only thing Carlos Poveda is a master of; he also has an expertise in sculpting. He earned a National prize in 2004 for his beautiful sculptures but this was not the end of it and he kept receiving awards and prizes in the following years as well.
