Hotel El Castillo

Hotel El Castillo is a Mediterranean-style boutique hotel, operated by a family and designed for adult only. This hotel is situated in the province of Alajuela, near the majestic Arenal Volcano. This hotel towers 600 feet above the Pacific Ocean where elegance and adventure meet. Situated in Ojochal Costa Rica, this hotel is close to the Tortuga Beach and Ventanas Beach. The hotel location is renowned for active volcano, grand lake Arenal, Pinuela Beach and Arco Beach and outstanding wind surfing conditions. This hotel overlooks amazing view of the mountain and ocean that makes the guests experience the connection with nature and a heavenly feeling. From the hotel in a close destination, you will find a variety of supermarkets, shops, bars and restaurants. 

Rooms:

Hotel El Castillo provides clean and comfortable rooms and suites that are nestled within a rich green environment. There are large windows in each of the room that let the natural light enter and the tiled floor and fresh air keep the room environment pleasant. All the rooms and suites are featured with upgraded bedding, robes, refrigerator, coffeemaker, safe, and air conditioning but there is no television. In the bedroom there are double French doors open to a wonderful veranda that overlooks amazing view of the ocean. In the suites you will find a separate sitting room where you can enjoy some tranquil time with your favorite book and can also watch the amazing mountain view.

Ocean View Suite:

This spacious 570 feet suite is featured with a large bathroom and a separate sitting room that is well furnished with sofa bed. In the suite chamber you will find a private veranda that overlooks stunning view of the ocean. This suite also ideal for enjoying amazing mountain view.

Ocean View Rooms:

These rooms are set in the main building. From its veranda you will be able to enjoy a dramatic ocean view.

Garden Room:

Nestled in the lower level of the building beside the main building, this room offers direct view of the garden and while staying at this room, you will enjoy more privacy. This room also overlooks a partial view of the ocean through the south garden.

Restaurant Azul:

You will get Mediterranean dishes and homemade desserts in this restaurant. It also serves free breakfast and in each day you will get different breakfast dishes. For lunch you will get wraps, salads, wraps and yucca fries. Fun communal table, salon, poolside, anywhere you can have your food and can enjoy the food with a large group. At the time of evening dining, you will also get the opportunity to enjoy amazing sunset view. Restaurant Azul also serves starters that includes homemade pita bread, hummus and calamari with tartar sauce. You will get tomato basil or seafood soup in the second course and in entrees can get souvlakis with addictive tzatziki sauce, homemade pasta, goat cheese ravioli, Moroccan chicken, grilled fish. A platter of seafood including fish, mussels, clams, calamari and shrimp is also served by the restaurant. Dessert menu includes cakes and homemade ice cream.

Activities:

While staying at the Hotel El Castillo, you can enjoy a variety of fun and adventure activities in the surrounding area of the hotel. The typography abounds with opportunity with the famous Ballena National Park in the front and dramatic mountains to the back. If you are a nature lover, you can go for a variety of day trip and explore the natural beauty of the surrounding area. You will enjoy exploring the rich biodiversity of Corcovado National Park and the Indian tribe of Baruca. Adventure lover can enjoy hiking along the continental divide or being dazzled by the Wilson Botanical Gardens. You can visit wonderful waterfall and there can enjoy swimming.
